ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to approach the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) against the channels broadcasting the news of delay in the general elections.

According to the spokesperson of the ECP, the reports of delays in the elections are baseless and misleading. The ECP sought recordings of news broadcasts on various TV channels.

The spokesperson of the Election Commission said that the news of the non-preparation of election lists is completely false and added that the printing of election lists is underway by the National Database & Registration Authority(NADRA).
