ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has demanded that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) provide a level playing field to all political parties in Sindh in the upcoming general elections in 2024.

PML-N Sindh President Bashir Memon along with the delegation met the Chief Election Commissioner.

The Muslim League-N Sindh submitted an application to the Chief Election Commission, in which it has been said that most of the administrative setup of the caretaker government of Sindh is of the People’s Party era, the leaders and ministers of the People’s Party have control over important departments and districts.

It is said in the application that corruption is continuing in the system, departments like health, education, excise, local government, and finance in Sindh are being run under the direction of former ministers. Secretary Services Ghulam Ali is controlling the transfer posting on the instructions of the leaders of the People’s Party.

The local government in Sindh is fully operational and the local government is getting a budget from the caretaker government which is being used to influence the election process. The election campaign of the People’s Party, including rallies and rallies, is being carried out by the local government.

PML-N has demanded that the Election Commission intervene and conduct an investigation so that everyone in Sindh gets equal opportunities. The investigation should not include the officers or members of the Provincial Election Commission of Sindh because they also have close ties with the previous Sindh government.
