Speaking informally to journalists in Islamabad, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja said the final list of the constituencies has been published and everything else will be done on time.

He said that ECP is doing everything ahead of time, and the election schedule, the appointment of Returning Officers (ROs) and District Returning Officers (DRO) will also be done on time.

On the question regarding the election schedule, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja said that the poll schedule will be announced 54 days from February 8.

The Chief Election Commissioner smilingly replied ‘no comments’ to the question regarding the recruitment of returning and district returning officers from the judiciary or the bureaucracy.

It should be remembered that the ECP has announced that elections will be held on February 8 across the country and the electoral regulatory commission issued the final list of National and Provincial Assembly constituencies according to which 266 of the general seats of the National Assembly from across the country have been selected.
