 Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, saying that targeting innocent people can no longer be justified.

Malala Yousafzai further said that it is a concern that, so far, pressure is not being increased regarding the ceasefire. Accountability of a country involved in war crimes is necessary.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner also appealed to people around the world to put pressure on the governments in their respective countries for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Added to that she added that forced eviction of Afghan refugees is a cruel measures, Pakistani authorities should withdraw the decision of eviction of Afghan citizens.

Earlier, while speaking in Johannesburg on the occasion of Nelson Mandela’s tenth anniversary, she said that the Taliban has made it illegal to be a girl in Afghanistan.

She claims that until 2 years ago, women in Afghanistan were working, holding ministries, playing cricket and football, and going to school, and progress was being made even though everything was not perfect.

Malala said that the Taliban took away women’s rights as soon as they took over, barring girls from higher education based on misconceptions.
