The government’s proactive measures to encourage responsible financial behavior have kept the Smartphone for All project in the spotlight. This initiative ensures ongoing accessibility to mobile phones for individuals who face the burden of hefty payments to acquire smartphones.
According to the information provided by the IT minister, telecom companies in the country can provide mobile phones to citizens through lease plans, thereby expanding the benefits of mobile broadband.
The upcoming introduction of installment plans for smartphones in Pakistan is set to make smartphones accessible to all, with the goal of boosting the economy and promoting the use of e-commerce.

Pakistan maintains its position as the seventh-largest mobile phone market globally, boasting a total of 190 million mobile phones in active use.
The GSMA SmartPhone for All Scheme is introducing an innovative plan, enabling individuals to acquire smartphones valued between Rs10,000 and Rs100,000 through convenient installment plans lasting from 3 to 12 months.
Individuals with valid ID cards, including students, professionals, and those with lower incomes, will have the opportunity to obtain smartphones through this scheme.
According to the suggested plan, Pakistanis can acquire smartphones through interest-free installments, requiring a minimum down payment of 20 percent.
