Police repelled terrorist attack on DI khan checkpost Punjab

Lahore: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar says that the law enforcement agencies repulsed the terrorist attack on the Jhangi border post of Dera Ghazi (DI) Khan late at night.

IG Punjab says that 8 to 10 terrorists of the banned organization tried to attack the Jhangi checkpost. The jawans identified the terrorists with the help of advanced thermal image cameras.

Dr. Usman Anwar said that the terrorists were repulsed by police firing and forced to flee. 

IG Punjab says that the police are on high alert at all the border posts of the province, anti-national elements and terrorists will not be allowed to enter the province, and every terrorist attack will be thwarted.

Earlier,  Security forces killed seven terrorists during an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Sambaza Sector Zhob District at Pakistan-Afghan border in Balochistan.

According to the statement of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists. The troops effectively surrounded and engaged the fleeing terrorists.

Resultantly, seven terrorists were sent to hell who remained actively involved in terrorists activities against security forces as well as killing of innocent civilians. Arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
