SJC issues notice to Justice (retd) Mazahar Naqvi

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Judicial Council(SJC) has issued a notice to former judge Justice (Retd) Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi.

The Supreme Judicial Council has issued a notice to the resigned judge Mazahar Naqvi.

The Supreme Judicial Council has given another chance to the resigned judge Mazahar Naqvi, the council said that Mazahar Naqvi can appear in the council tomorrow and give his opinion if he wants.

The council said that if Mazahar Naqvi’s lawyers ask for time, the complainants will be heard.

The Supreme Judicial Council has decided that the proceedings of the Council will continue Friday the proceedings of the Supreme Judicial Council have been postponed till 11:30 tomorrow.

On the other hand, President Dr Arif Alvi approved the resignation of the Supreme Court Judge Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi.

The president approved the resignation on the advice of the prime minister in the exercise of the power under Article 179 of the Constitution.
