The British government has addressed a major concern for Pakistanis by simplifying the visa application process. According to Simon Reed Lay, spokesperson for the British Home Ministry, the visa system for Pakistanis is transitioning to a fully online platform.

During a meeting with the Home Secretary, a delegation from the British Ministry of Home Affairs, along with the British High Commissioner, discussed progress on extradition agreements and strategies to deter fake universities and illegal stayers on student visas in the UK.

Simon Reed Lay highlighted the upcoming shift to an entirely online visa system for Pakistani citizens, emphasizing that this change aims to streamline the process.

Notably, the US Department of State recently modified requirements for non-immigrant visa interview waivers, allowing applicants to obtain study and visit visas without in-person interviews.

The waiver is applicable for those applying for a nonimmigrant visa, excluding B visas, within four years of the expiration of their last visa.

These developments reflect efforts by both the UK and the US to streamline visa processes and enhance accessibility for international applicants. Prospective travelers are advised to consult embassy and consulate websites for detailed information on updated visa application requirements and procedures.
