WASHINGTON: The United States has recently announced a relaxation in visa conditions for foreigners, particularly regarding ‘non-immigrant visas.’

The US State Department revealed that, under the new changes, applicants can now acquire study and visit visas without the necessity of a formal interview.

This exemption applies to all nonimmigrant visas, except for B visas and those renewing within four years of their last visa expiration.

However, the State Department emphasized that consular officers may still opt for interviews on a case-by-case basis or in specific situations.

Officials advise individuals to refer to embassy and consulate websites for detailed information on visa application requirements and procedures.

This move aims to streamline the visa application process and facilitate easier access for certain categories of visitors to the United States.
