86 PTI-backed lawmakers join Sunni Ittehad Council

ISLAMABAD: More Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) backed independent members have submitted their party certificates to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for joining the Sunni Ittehad Council(SIC).

It has been informed by the PTI Secretariat that 86 independent members submitted their certificates to the Election Commission of Pakistan for the National Assembly.

According to the PTI Secretariat, 9 members of PTI from Sindh Assembly have submitted the certificates of joining the Sunni Ittehad Council to the ECP, while 105 members from the Punjab Assembly and 85 members from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have submitted the certificates of joining the Sunni Unity Council.

It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had announced joining the National Assembly, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sunni Ittehad Council(SIC) a couple of days ago.

Earlier, District and Sessions Court canceled the arrest warrant of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed in the case of threatening a journalist.

The case of threatening a journalist against PTI leader Senator Faisal Javed was heard in the District and Sessions Court, where Faisal Javed appeared in the court of Civil Judge Qudratullah along with his lawyer Sardar Masroof.
