Cold weather remains in Lahore and other parts of Punjab

In Lahore and parts of Punjab, cold and dry weather was observed on Thursday (Election Day), with experts forecasting similar conditions to continue over the next two days.

The prevailing synoptic situation indicates that continental air is affecting most parts of Pakistan.

During these conditions, Lahore and most parts of Punjab are anticipated to experience mainly cold and dry weather from Thursday evening through Saturday. Freezing temperatures are expected in Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas. Additionally, shallow fog is likely to prevail in Sialkot, Narowal, and Kasur during the morning and night hours.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature is expected to range between 7 and 9 degrees Celsius on both Friday and Saturday.

Over the past 24 hours, most parts of the province experienced cold and dry weather. Freezing temperatures were observed in Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas. Additionally, shallow fog occurred in isolated areas of northeast Punjab.

Murree was the coldest location in the province, with temperatures dropping to 3 degrees Celsius below freezing. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 68 percent.
