Dubai’s public transport soars: A journey of 702 million riders
The number of passengers using shared mobility services and public transportation combined increased to 702 million in 2023, up 13% from 621.4 million in 2022, according to Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The average daily ridership of all modes of transportation, including taxis, buses, shared mobility services, maritime transportation, Dubai Metro, and trams, was 1.92 million in 2023, according to the RTA’s most recent figures.
