In Islamabad, the federal government will adjust petrol and diesel prices according to global trends in the upcoming biweekly review on February 15th.

Continued tension in the Middle East has led to an increase in global oil prices, which may result in higher petroleum prices in Pakistan.

Pakistan held elections on February 8, and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released provisional results, showing PTI-backed candidates leading in National Assembly constituencies, followed by PML-N and PPP.

The process of forming national and provincial governments will commence following the announcement of the official results.
