FIA arrests two suspects involved in hawala hundi
PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two suspects involved in the hawala hundi from Sarafa market and recovered 9 gold bars.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took action and arrested two suspects involved in the hawala hundi and recovered the gold bricks.
FIA officials said that the accused were arrested from Sarafa market and nine gold bricks worth 6520,000 Pakistani rupees were recovered from the accused.
The FIA said that the total value of the recovered gold is more than 20 million, while hawala hundi, foreign currency records were also recovered from the accused.
According to the FIA spokesperson, a case has been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted to arrest other accused.
Earlier, Sindh Home Department has imposed section 144 in the red zone area in Karachi for one month and also issued a notification.
In the notification issued by the Sindh Home Department, it has been said that Section 144 has been implemented on the request of the Inspector General (IG) Police Sindh.
