Former President Asif Zardari leaves for Islamabad

KARACHI: Former President and Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)  Asif Ali Zardari left for Islamabad.

According to Zardari House sources, the former president has left Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah) for Islamabad after voting in the general elections today.

Earlier, while talking to the media in Shaheed Benazirabad  on the occasion of voting, Asif Zardari said that the future of the PPP is bright and it is hoped that the PPP will clean sweep the election.

He said that the People’s Party has given a people-friendly manifesto and no other party has given people-friendly manifesto.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed has said on the suspension of mobile service on the day of the general elections that the suspension of mobile phones seems to be an abnormal situation.

The PML-N leader said that this is an election process, it is a normal day, it seems that there is an abnormal situation due to mobile phone shutdown.
