The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts partly cloudy weather and varying-intensity rainfall for parts of Pakistan on Monday evening/night and the following two days. A shallow westerly wave is affecting most areas.

On Monday evening/night, southwestern Balochistan, Kashmir, and nearby hilly regions may experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms. Freezing temperatures are expected in upper parts, while Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other areas may have cold and partly cloudy weather.

Tuesday and Wednesday could bring rain, wind, and thunderstorms to the coastal areas of Makran. Light rain, wind, and thunderstorms are also possible in isolated areas in Kashmir and nearby hilly regions. Upper parts may experience freezing temperatures, with a chance of shallow fog in some plain areas of northeast Punjab during morning and night hours. Cold and dry weather is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and elsewhere.

Islamabad’s minimum temperatures are projected to be between 02-04 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 01-03 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Rawalpindi’s minimum temperatures are expected to range from 05-07 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 04-06 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

In the past 24 hours, cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and most parts of the country. Freezing temperatures were observed in upper parts, and rain occurred in isolated places in South Punjab, Karachi, Gawadar, Jiwani, and Turbat.
