PTI ex-MPA Chaudhry Adnan gunned down in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Former member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial assembly, Chaudhry Adnan, who was a candidate in the 2024 elections, was fatally shot by unidentified attackers, here on Monday.

The incident occurred around noon in the vicinity of Rawalpindi’s Police Lines, resulting in critical injuries to his driver, as stated by the police in an official statement.

According to police reports, assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on Chaudhry Adnan, resulting in his immediate demise.

An investigation into the assassination has been initiated by the police, with efforts underway to acquire CCTV footage for further examination. The body of Adnan was transported to the District Headquarter Hospital.

Chaudhry Adnan, a former PTI provincial assembly member, was contesting in the February 8 general elections for the NA-57 and PP-19 constituencies.
