ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff(COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif here at the Prime Minister’s House.

During the meeting, they discussed the Pakistan Army’s professional as well as the security-related matters.

The army chief also congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz on assuming the office and expressed good wishes for him.

This sentiment was shared during the 263rd Corps Commanders’ Conference held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir.

The conference, attended by corps commanders, principal staff officers, and all formation commanders, emphasized the army’s role in providing a secure environment for the February 8 general elections while refraining from interference in the electoral process.
