LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) Lahore approved the bails of 21 accused arrested in the Jinnah House arson case.

Judge Muhammad Naveed Iqbal of Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court granted bail to 21 accused.

These accused include Muhammad Aslam, Rizwan Ullah, Kamran Khan, Muhammad Owais and others. A case was registered against the said accused in Sarwar Road police station.

It should be noted that on May 9, an angry mob entered Jinnah House in Lahore and not only ransacked it, but also set it on fire and took away valuables, while in other parts of the country on May 9, miscreants looted the damaged property.

Earlier,  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan urged for the prosecution of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s military secretary in the diplomatic cable controversy.

Speaking to reporters outside the Parliament House, here on Monday, Ayub, accompanied by PTI’s newly elected chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, emphasized that it was the responsibility of the then-prime minister’s military secretary to safeguard the cipher documents.

“If legal action is pursued, it should be directed against these individuals [military secretary],” Ayub stated.
