Former Chairman PCB Shahryar Khan passes away

LAHORE: Former Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and diplomat Shahryar Khan  has passed away at the age of 89 in Lahore.

Family sources confirmed that Shehryar Khan was ill for a long time and died today in Lahore. Shahryar Khan will be buried in Karachi and his dead body will be transported to Karachi through air ambulance.

Shahryar Khan was the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board twice. Shahryar Khan was also a former diplomat and he also held the post of Foreign Secretary.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi expressed his grief over the death of former PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan and expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family.

Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the services of late Shahryar Khan and said that the services of late Shehryar Khan will be remembered for a long time.

Shahryar Khan was born on March 29, 1934, in Lucknow, India and received his early education there before pursuing higher studies in England.
