In Athens, Pakistanis residing in Greece can renew their passports at the embassy, provided they fulfill all necessary requirements.

The cost for a regular passport with 36 pages and a five-year validity is 55 euros, and for a 10-year validity passport, it is 85 euros.

Pakistan’s government has launched Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) valid for five and ten years, featuring advanced security measures to combat human trafficking and forgery. These passports include digitally printed personal information along with a photograph embedded in the barcode.

Documents Required for Pakistani Passports in Greece

Applicants need to bring their previous Pakistani passport, valid CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card), and NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis), along with photocopies, during the process.

There is no need for any form or photograph.

There is no need to make an appointment. The process is based on a “First Come, First Served basis”.

MRP can’t be issued or renewed by mail or through a representative.

No amendment or modification is permissible in a machine-readable passport. The applicant should apply for a new passport.

If the date of birth in CNIC is 1965, in MRP it will be treated as 1/1/1965.
