CJP Isa, three other SC judges receive threatening letters

ISLAMABAD:  Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faez Isa and three other judges of the Supreme Court have also received a threatening letter.

Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, and Justice Aminuddin Khan received threatening letters.

Sources said the four letters were received in the Supreme Court on April 1 powder was found in the four letters and threatening figures were drawn. The letters have been handed over to the Counter Terrorism Department.

On the other hand, 4 judges of Lahore High Court have also received threatening letters.

The Registrar’s Office has confirmed receiving threatening letters from 4 judges of the Lahore High Court.

According to the Registrar’s Office, the letters have been sent to Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan, and Justice Aalia Neelam, while the four judges of the Lahore High Court who received the letter are members of the management committee.

According to the Registrar Office Lahore High Court, Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh also received a threatening letter.

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police officers reached the Lahore High Court after receiving a threatening letter from the judges of the Lahore High Court and the security of the court has also been tightened.

Forensic teams have reached the High Court to examine the suspicious letters while the CCTV cameras of the High Court are being reviewed.
