The Immigration and Passport department in Pakistan has started issuing e-passports, which are very secure travel documents, to Pakistani citizens.

These passports have a special electronic chip embedded in them, storing important information like the person’s fingerprints and other personal details.

E-passports are already used in over 150 countries because they make border security more efficient. Pakistani e-passport holders can use special e-gates at airports worldwide, making travel easier.

This new system replaces the old manual one and allows people to apply for passports online, making the process more convenient.
