MULTAN: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) foiled an attempt to smuggle 16 kilogram of gold from Multan International Airport.

According to the spokesperson FIA, 16 kg gold was recovered from the passenger at Multan Airport, the passenger was going to Dubai by a private airline flight.

The spokesperson of FIA said that the accused has been transferred to FIA police station for further investigation.

On the other hand, a group manufacturing fake drugs for cancer and heart diseases was caught from Karachi.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) State Bank Circle Karachi and Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) staff have arrested 2 operatives of the brutal gang who play with human lives while conducting a joint important operation in Lines area.

A large quantity of fake and unregistered drugs and machines and equipment used in the manufacture of fake drugs have also been recovered from the accused.

According to the authorities, the arrested suspects Abdul Saud Faisal and Mohammad Asif were manufacturing, packing and preparing samples of fake medicines from their house, which includes more than 82 different types and companies of medicines.

Counterfeit drugs have been used in heart disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension and other diseases.

In the initial investigation, it has been revealed that the accused were supplying fake medicines to medical stores in posh areas of Karachi.
