Security forces killed seven terrorists in KP IBOs
RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed eight terrorists in an intelligence base operation(IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan District on reported presence of terrorists.
During the conduct of operation, after an intense fire exchange, eight Terrorists were sent to hell.
The terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces and target killing of innocent civilians. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from killed terrorists.
The locals of the area appreciated the operation. Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces are determined to wipeout the menace of terrorism from the country.
Earlier, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza called on President Asif Ali Zardari and briefed him about the security situation of the country as well as the operational preparedness of the armed forces.
In the meeting, the CJCSC also highlighted that the armed forces of the country had the capability to effectively deal with internal and external security challenges.
President Zardari lauded the role of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the national frontiers as well as their contributions towards the country’s socioeconomic development.
