Sessions Judge kidnapped by armed men safely recovered
PESHAWAR: District and Sessions Judge Shakir Ullah Marwat, who was kidnapped from the Tank area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a couple of days ago, was safely recovered.
Sessions Judge Shakir Ullah Marwat, who was abducted from Tank by unknown assailants, has been safely recovered from the clutches of the abductors.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Adviser Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif confirmed the recovery of Sessions Judge Shakir Ullah Marwat and said that Sessions Judge has been shifted to his home safely. He said more details about the incident will be released later.
Earlier, a case of abduction of Sessions Judge Shakir Ullah Marwat was registered in the police station Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Dera Ismail Khan on the complaint of the judge’s driver Sher Ali. Other provisions including terrorism were added in the FIR.
According to the text of the case, when the judge’s car reached Dera Tank Road where 25 to 30 accused were standing there and armed with heavy weapons. The armed men blocked the road with motorcycles.
It was stated in the FIR that the accused stopped the vehicle and opened fire, and the judge and the driver got out of the vehicle due to the firing. The alleged terrorists tied a cloth over the eyes of the driver of the judge and got into the vehicle, after 40 minutes the vehicle was stolen.
When the car was stopped, the car had reached the forest. The terrorists set fire to the car and released the driver. He told the terrorists to convey their message that they would present their demands if they were fulfilled.
Later, the terrorists took the judge on a motorcycle and left for the forest.
