Lahore’s M-2 motorway, also called the Islamabad-Lahore motorway, spans 375 kilometers and is situated wholly within Punjab.

The motorway also links different cities like Sheikhupura, Chakwal, and Kallar Kahar, making it among the most heavily traveled routes in Pakistan.

The M-2 motorway, on the other hand, functions as a toll road, with commuters required to pay toll fees at exit points along the route. These fees are utilized for maintaining and upgrading the highway’s infrastructure.

The toll tax for travel from Lahore to Islamabad on M2 was last adjusted by the National Highways and Motorways Police nine months ago, and this change remains valid for a period of 12 months.
