Pakistanis residing in the United Kingdom have the option to renew their Machine Readable Passports by visiting the High Commission for Pakistan in London or its consulates located in Bradford, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow.

The passport offices at these locations operate on the basis of live data capturing, requiring applicants to be present (with necessary documents) for the application process. Trained MRP staff utilize advanced technology to capture applicants’ data entry, photo, signature, and thumb impression.

Walk-in applicants for MRP services will not be accommodated at High Commissions and consulates; appointments can be scheduled online instead.

The Pakistan embassy in London has reported that there are currently technical difficulties at the Passport headquarters in Islamabad, resulting in temporary delays in passport delivery.

Urgent passports will now be delivered within a two-month timeframe, while Normal/Ordinary passports will take up to three months for delivery.
