Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has declared a main relief for overseas Pakistanis applying for passport renewal in normal and urgent groups in UAE, Saudi Arabi, UK and other countries.

During his visit to Passport and NADRA offices in London, the minister said dropping the passport distribution time for overseas Pakistanis.

Presently, the issuance of passport in urgent category takes about two months whereas normal passports are delivered in 4 to 5 months.

The minister educated about the suffering being faced by the overseas Pakistanis during his London visit where he broadcasted that normal passports will be issued within 30 days although urgent passport will take only seven days.

Naqvi said no interruption will be endured in the issuances of passports, adding that the new directions will be valid to all Pakistani missions.

He also setup a checking cell to confirm delivery of passports within time. It will be overviewed by Personal Staff Officer to the Interior Minister, ASP Shahrbano.
