Central Ruet e Hilal Committee to meet today
ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has scheduled a meeting for Friday to observe the moon of Zill Hajj 1445 AH.
This important meeting will take place at the Pakistan Meteorological Department building in Karachi, with simultaneous zonal meetings occurring in other provincial capitals and Islamabad, starting 30 minutes before the Maghrib prayer.
Today marks the 29th of Zill-Qadah in Saudi Arabia, where relevant institutions have urged citizens to look for the moon on Thursday.
The sighting of the moon today in Saudi Arabia will be pivotal in determining the dates for Hajj this year.
Earlier, Anticipation is mounting for the sighting of the Zilhaj moon, as per an official from the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council who forecasts that the moon for Eid is likely to be visible on June 7.
According to Khalid Ijaz Mufti, Secretary General of the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, Eid-ul-Azha is anticipated to fall on Monday, June 17.
Mufti predicts that the moon will be born on June 6 at 5:38 pm, and with its age being 25 hours by sunset on June 7, visibility is highly probable.
