Apple is reportedly developing technology to facilitate easier replacement of iPhone batteries, in line with upcoming EU regulations for sustainable design and recycling by 2027.

The current method of securing batteries in iPhones involves adhesive strips, but the new approach under development will use electricity to loosen the adhesive, enabling users to replace batteries more conveniently.

Adhesives play a crucial role in device recyclability, making this innovation a significant stride towards meeting environmental standards and fostering sustainability in Apple products.
