The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory highlighting the influence of weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea and a shallow westerly wave in central Pakistan. These conditions are expected to bring about a mix of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Areas such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Kohat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Mardan, Karam, Kirk, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan are likely to experience these weather phenomena starting on Wednesday evening or night and continuing over Thursday and Friday. On the other hand, other regions in the province can expect hot and dry weather conditions during this period.

Specifically, Peshawar is anticipated to see maximum temperatures ranging from 38 to 40 °C on both Thursday and Friday.

Recent weather observations indicated a mix of hot and dry conditions across most districts of the province over the past 24 hours. However, isolated areas experienced rain, wind, and thunderstorms, adding variation to the overall weather pattern.

In terms of temperature extremes, Dera Ismail Khan registered as the hottest spot in the province, with the mercury climbing to 46 °C. Relative humidity levels during the morning hours stood at 46 percent.
