President Zardari to visit Gwadar today

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to pay a daylong visit to Gwadar today where he will chair a meeting to discuss the security and law and order situation in the Balochistan province.

In the meeting, the president will be given a briefing about the overall security in the province, a President House press release said.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti will also attend the meeting.

Earlier,  President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in their separate messages on Eid-ul-Azha, have urged the nation to reaffirm their commitment to the values of brotherhood, sacrifice, and selflessness on this occasion.

In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari highlighted the significance of Eid ul-Azha and encouraged everyone to share the joy of Eid with those around them, especially those, who are unable to celebrate due to financial constraints.

In a message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the day serves as an occasion to unite the people and foster the bonds of brotherhood and fraternity as well as to look after the less fortunate amongst us and make them part of our collective celebration.
