Qasai Rates in Karachi for Eid-ul-Adha 2024
KARACHI – Pakistan will celebrate Eidul Adha 2024 on Monday, with Muslims sacrificing animals to honor the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S.).
Many people slaughter animals themselves, while others hire a qasai or butcher. Professional Qasai rates are higher than those of seasonal butchers.
According to a survey by the Pakistani Observer, professional Qasai rates for cows range from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,00.
Professional Qasais or butchers are asking for Rs20,000 to Rs30,000 for the Qurbani of a cow or bull, which varies based on the animal’s weight.
Their charges are Rs5,000 to Rs7,000 for goats and sheep, while camels are priced between Rs35,000 and Rs40,000.
Due to a lack of professional butchers, people are turning to non-professionals, resulting in significant rate differences. Non-professional Qasais are charging as low as Rs10,000 to Rs14,000 for cows or bulls, depending on negotiations with customers.
They charge around Rs3,000 to Rs4,000 for sheep or goats.
