SIC nominates Zartaj Gul as parliamentary leader in NA
ISLAMABAD: The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) nominated former federal minister and Member of National Assembly(MNA) Zartaj Gul as the parliamentary leader in the National Assembly.
Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan nominated Zartaj Gul as parliamentary leader in place of Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan in the National Assembly while Zain Qureshi and Ahmed Chhata were nominated as deputy parliamentary leaders.
Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Khan also confirmed the nomination of Zartaj Gul as the parliamentary leader and said that he has just been informed of this decision.
Sunni Ittehad Council chief Hamid Raza will inform the Speaker of the National Assembly about the new nominations on Monday.
Earlier, Former President Dr. Arif Alvi asserted on Wednesday that PTI founder Imran Khan had declined an offer to leave the country and had committed to staying and confronting the consequences.
In a discussion with journalists, the former president alleged that incarcerated Imran Khan was being urged to “make a deal and depart the country.”
