CTD kills mastermind of KPO attack

KARACHI: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Karachi has killed mastermind of the Karachi Police Office(KPO) attack during an encounter with the terrorists.

DIG CTD said the mastermind of the attack on the Karachi Police Office, was killed in an encounter at Northern Bypass in Mochko area.

DIG CTD Asif Ijaz Shaikh while talking to the media said that a terrorist of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)  was killed after an encounter in Mochko area.

Talking to the media at the Civil Hospital Karachi, he said that CTD raided on a tip-off, the terrorists there opened fire on the CTD, during the firing of the terrorist, a bullet hit Sub Inspector Irfan’s bulletproof jacket. However, he was safe.

He said that a terrorist was seriously injured by CTD’s retaliatory firing and died before reaching the hospital. A pistol and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the dead terrorist.

DIG CTD said another operation of CTD is also going on.
