The Sindh Transport Department has announced the launch of three new routes for the Peoples Bus Service in Karachi, aiming to enhance public transportation with affordable and efficient options. The new routes and their start dates are:

• Hawksbay to Tower: Operations commence on July 22.
• Extension of Route 12: From Qaidabad, Korangi, and Memon Goth to Tower, starting on July 23 (previously from Khokhrapar).
• Electric Bus Route from Kathore to Numaish: Begins on July 24.
• Yousuf Goth to Tower: launches on July 25.

Commitment to Improving Public Transport

Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon highlighted that these new routes are part of a broader initiative to improve Karachi’s public transportation system. He stated, “Our goal is to ensure that the citizens of Karachi have access to affordable and reliable transportation.”

Future Plans and Recent Developments

In addition to the new routes, the Sindh Transport Department plans to introduce more buses and routes in the near future. These efforts are designed to address long-standing transport issues in Karachi and enhance the public transportation network.

Last month, the Sindh government also announced additional new routes for the Peoples Bus Service. New routes were planned for Malir, Kemari, Lyari, and district West, including a new bus route from Numaish to Hawksbay.
