Farhan Asif hands over to FIA on 4-day physical remand in fake news case

LAHORE: The local court of Lahore has extended the physical remand of Farhan Asif, the accused who gave fake news that caused riots in the United Kingdom(UK).

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on completion of the one-day physical remand, presented the accused Farhan Asif in the local court  under tight security, where the FIA ​​requested for further physical remand of the accused.

The court accepted the request of FIA and extended the physical remand of the accused and handed him over to FIA for 4 days.

It should be remembered that the police arrested Farhan from Lahore 2 days ago on the charge of giving fake news that caused riots in Britain.

According to DIG Operations Lahore, Farhan Asif works for a news platform in Pakistan and during interrogation of the accused, he was found involved in giving fake news.
