Committee to consider revocation of K-Electric’s license formed

KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly has formed a special committee based on the resolution — previously presented in the assembly — to suspend K-Electric’s license.

The committee will also evaluate the performance of HESCO and SEPCO.

The special committee would be comprised of 11 members including the Opposition Leader, Ali Khursheedi while the committee will be chaired by Fayaz Butt.

Earlier, independent MPA Sajjad Soomro presented the resolution to revoke K-Electric’s license in the Sindh Assembly.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of Sindh, Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar, supported the resolution.

Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar highlighted people’s dissatisfaction with K-Electric, adding that K-Electric had failed to address the public’s concerns.
