SHC issues arrest warrant of MD Water Corporation

Karachi: The Sindh High Court(SHC) has issued an arrest warrant for Managing Director (MD) Water Corporation in the case of non-implementation of court orders.

The Sindh High Court has ordered the concerned SSP to comply with the arrest warrant and to ensure the appearance of MD Water Corporation in the court on the next hearing.

The court said that the MD Water Corporation has issued a bailable warrant of Rs 100,000, this is the procedure of the Water Corporation officers in every case, the cases are pending for 4 years, why these cases have not been resolved so far.

Later, on the order of the Sindh High Court, Advocate General Sindh Hassan Akbar appeared and sought respite to submit a report regarding the execution of the court order, on which the court granted the respite request and adjourned the hearing till September 16.

It should be noted that cases related to tariff and non-payment of dues have been filed against the Water Corporation and the Sindh High Court had sought an explanation from the Government of Sindh and the Water Corporation on these matters.
