Hajj 2025: Saudi Arabia introduces smart guide for pilgrims

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain on Monday announced the Hajj policy 2025.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Chaudhry Salik said that a total quota of 179,210 pilgrims has been received, half of the quota 79,600 people will be equally divided between public and private.

He said that a group of 2,000 people will be formed for Hajj and Hajj application can be submitted with Rs 200,000 and Rs 400, 000 after balloting while the rest has to be given by February before Hajj.

The federal minister said Under the Hajj Policy 2025, children below the age of 12 will be barred from traveling for Hajj this year. while the compensation for those who died during Hajj has been increased from one million to two million.

It should be noted that the federal cabinet had approved the Hajj policy last week, in which it was stated that the official Hajj package would be between 1.065 million to 1.075 million.

Earlier,  federal government has decided to receive Hajj  package fees  from intending pilgrims in three installments.

The good news for the pilgrims who wish to go to Hajj Baitullah through the government scheme is that it has been decided to introduce a scheme for receiving the Hajj package in installments in the Hajj Policy.

According to Ministry of Religious Affairs sources, Hajj package fees will be collected in three installments instead of one lump sum. Initially Rs 200,000 will be collected along with Hajj request.
