KP CM moves IHC against D-Chowk protest case

ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur approached the Islamabad High Court against D-Chowk protest case.

Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur has filed an petition in the Islamabad High Court challenge the case registered against him at Secretariat police station after PTI protest.

In the petition, it has been decided that the provisions of terrorism should be removed from the case registered on November 26 on the D Chowk protest or the proceedings on the FIR should be stopped.

It has been said in the petition that if the constitutional right to protest was exercised, the police registered a case of terrorism, as a final relief, the provisions of terrorism should be removed from the case registered in the Secretariat police station.

It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf had staged protest in Islamabad on November 26, after which cases were registered against other leaders of PTI including Ali Amin and Bushra Bibi.

Earlier,  Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi approved Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur bail in 11 cases including the GHQ attack case.

Judge Malik Ijaz Asif of Anti-Terrorism Court Rawalpindi granted bail in 11 cases of Ali Amin Gandapur while hearing the bail applications.
