Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, recently opened up about his plans to give Taylor Swift a special birthday gift on her big day, December 13.

Speaking on the Baskin and Phelps podcast on December 12, Ed shared his thoughts on finding the perfect present for the global superstar. He revealed that picking a gift for Swift is not an easy task, comparing it to buying gifts for his sons, Travis Kelce, a star for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Jason Kelce, a retired Philadelphia Eagles player.

“Buying Taylor a present is like trying to buy Jason or Travis a present,” Ed said. “There’s nothing they want that they don’t already have.” He emphasized that the cost of the gift doesn’t matter. “The amount of money is meaningless,” Ed explained. “You’re not going to crush Taylor Swift with a gift that cost, you know, $100,000.”

Instead, Ed believes that the emotional value of the gift is key. “You have to look beyond that,” he said. “You gotta dig down and come up with something special.” Ed further added, “You get something that tweaks the strings of her heart that you spend 10 bucks on. Then she’ll just be all gooey.”

Swift’s 34th year has been marked by tremendous success, including her record-breaking Eras Tour, which earned over $2 billion in ticket sales.
