PESHAWAR: At least 12 people were killed and 20 others were injured when a 22-wheeler truck fell onto a passenger coach in Karak area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Karak, the incident occurred after the truck’s brakes failed, causing it to crash into the passenger vehicle.

The DC Karak said that the high-speed trawler collided with a passenger coach and other vehicles on the Indus Highway.

The accident occurred due to brake failure of the trawler, in which more than 20 people were also injured who have been shifted to the hospital for immediate medical assistance.

Rescue 1122 is conducting rescue operations, and hospitals have been put on high alert to manage the situation.
