ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulated President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko on his re-election to the Office of President.

The prime minister, on X handle, said that he was delighted to speak with Belarusian President and congratulated him on his re-election that reflected ‘the continued trust of his people in his leadership’.

“I look forward to continue working with him to further strengthen our bilateral ties, particularly in trade, commerce and investment for the prosperity for our two peoples,” he further posted.

Earleir,  Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced  that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate the country’s newly renovated major stadiums.

Speaking at a press conference following his visit to Gaddafi Stadium, Naqvi confirmed that the Lahore stadium will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister on February 7, while President Zardari will open Karachi’s stadium on February 11. Additionally, a Champions Trophy-related ceremony is scheduled for February 16.

Naqvi assured us that the renovation work is in its final stages and will be fully completed before the inauguration dates. Addressing concerns about construction quality, he emphasized that all upgrades were carried out following international standards.
