7 fugitives arrested from UAE

LAHORE: Punjab Police Special Operations Cell arrested seven wanted criminals from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The wanted criminals were involved in serious crimes like extortion, robbery and banditry.

According to the spokesman Punjab Police, the police team has left for Sharjah with proclaimed offender. An accused Sufyan Ali wanted to Gujranwala police in 32 cases of police encounter and terrorism.

Meanwhile, Abdul Latif killed his sister-in law in Rahim Yar Khan in 2023, while Zohaib Sialkot and Jalil wanted to Dera Ghazi Khan Police.

According to police, the proclaimed offender Akash Iqbal wanted to Sialkot police in a fake visa case.

It should be noted that this year, the number of dangerous proclaimed offenders arrested from abroad has increased to 16.

Earlier, The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior had ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the Mustafa Aamir murder case.

The case of Mustafa Aamir, who was killed after being abducted by a friend, has also reached the National Assembly. After that, the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe the matter.

On the other hand, the Anti –Narcotics Force (ANF) has also been ordered to investigate the Mustafa Aamir murder case.
