Pakistan to not extend Mar 31 deadline for expulsion of illegal Afghans

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided not to extend the March 31 deadline for Afghans nationals to leave country.

According to details, the Interior Ministry meeting has decided to strictly follow enforce the March 31 deadline for the expulsion of illegal immigrants.

The Rawalpindi and Islamabad have already been instructed to evacuate illegal residents.

Amnesty International, on the other hand, has demanded the cancel the withdrawal plan for the illegal foreigners.

Amnesty International said Pakistan’s deadline March 31 will increase the difficulties of Afghan citizens.

According to Amnesty International, Pakistan has expelled 8.44,499 Afghans between 2023 and 2025.

Earlier, Federal Ministry of Interior has sought Afghan students’ records from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

The Federal Ministry of Interior’s Foreign National Security Cell has written a letter to the Home Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa seeking a record of Afghan students in the province.

A letter written by the Interior Ministry states that the Foreign National Security Cell is updating the dashboard on foreigners, the data of all Afghan students studying in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be sent by March 27.
