Police foil terrorist attack on Lakhani Checkpost DG Khan

DG KHAN: The Punjab police on Saturday thwarted terrorists attack on the Lakhani Police Checkpost in Dera Ghazi Khan at Punjab-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

District Police Officer (DPO) said the terrorists attacked a police check post with heavy weapons, however police personnel failed with timely retaliation and the terrorists escaped due to police firing.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the police for thwarting the attack of terrorists at Dera Ghazi Khan’s border check post.

Mohsin Naqvi said that Dera Ghazi Khan police bravely confronted the terrorists and prevented the attack.

The interior minister said that the Punjab police personnel responded to the attack of Khwarji terrorists in a professional manner and thwarted these ambitions.

Earleir,  terrorist attack on Lakhani check post in Dera Ghazi Khan at Punjab-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border was successfully thwarted by the law enforcement agencies(LEAs).

According to the police, terrorists attacked the Lakhani check post on the Punjab and KP border in Dera Ghazi Khan late at night.

Police officials say that more than 25 terrorists attacked the check post with rockets and grenades.

According to the police, there was no loss of life in the attack of the terrorists, while the terrorists escaped on retaliatory action.
