10 passengers killed in tragic traffic accident in Karak

PESHAWAR: As many as least 10 people were killed and eight other sustained injuries in a truck-coach collision in Karak, Khyber Pakhtyunkhwa.

The accident happened near Lucky Gundki on the Karak Indus Highway where 10 people were killed and 8 were injured in a trailer and van collision.

Rescue officials said the trailer hit passenger van, causing several passengers to be trapped, while rescue personnel, including locals, were involved in rescue operations as soon as the accident was reported.

According to rescue officials, 10 bodies have been shifted to District Headquarter(DHQ) Hospital and the injured are being provided medical help.

Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, in a statement, said that the attack took place on Palm Sunday, a sacred occasion for Christians, which underscored Israel’s blatant disregard for religious sanctity and civilian lives.

“Pakistan demands an immediate end to Israel’s ongoing atrocities, which have resulted in the indiscriminate killing of innocent and unarmed Palestinians, including women and children, and the systematic destruction of civilian infrastructure,” the spokesperson said.
