ISLAMABAD: Earthquake tremors were felt in federal capital Islamabad and different cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the epicenter was located in the border region between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, with a depth of 94 kilometers.

Earthquake tremors were also felt in Peshawar, Nowshera, Lower Dir, Malakand and Noah in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Earthquake tremors were also felt in Mardan, Swat, Bajaur, Dir Bala, Shabqadar, Mohmand and Chitral.

Meanwhile, earthquake tremors were also felt in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and surrounding areas in Punjab.  Earthquake tremors were felt in Gilgit, Parachinar and adjoining areas.
